The Scott Riot ski poles are the coolest we’ve seen here at L9. Their oversized 22mm diameter is mighty tough, so if you are prone to breaking poles you might give these a try. Plus, their baskets are geared toward powder with the most surface area of any baskets out there. Extra long grips let you switch things up on the bootpack when things get really steep without any readjusting their length. A huge bold face neon Scott logo puts their style points over the top.
Scott Carbon Diamond Tips:Constructed using a composite matrix of state-of-the art materials including carbon fiber, the Carbon Diamond Tip can withstand the harshest abuses.
Scott S4 Aluminum Shaft:Constructed with the strongest commercially available, aircraft-grade aluminum alloy. S4 aluminum poles are twice as strong as the industry standard, rates to 75 ooo PSI.
This pole is slightly oversized compared to most poles with a 22mm diameter. Most poles fall in the 14-18mm range but this pole is a cut above the rest. Still lightweight and very strong, you’ll probably wind up preferring this width!
Powder Basket:This basket measures 90mm in diameter and has the traditional pow basket star shape. If you find that your poles are sinking down too far in the deep snow, this is a great solution. This basket isn’t too big, it can be used everyday no problem.
Extra Long Grips:These grips are twice as long as most. That lets you adjust your grip to match the conditions, which is especially nice when bootpacking.
